The XIII World Transplant Games took place in Kobe, Japan from August 25^th to September 1^st, 2001
More than 850 athletes from 50 countries participated.
2000 peoples were present
39 athletes and 17 companions represented Canada
Canada won 27 medals

10 athletes from Québec with 2 companions went to Kobe and won 9 medals.
