Created
in 1987, La Fondation Diane Hébert is a unique organization.
It was founded following the experience of Diane Hébert, the first
heart-lung transplant patient in Quebec. A small group of volunteers and
medical people, who were convinced of the potential of transplantation
for saving lives, formed the association to promote organ donation and
to respond to the urgent needs of transplant patients.
Whether patients are waiting for a transplant of heart, lung(s), liver, pancreas, kidney or tissues such as cornea, skin, joints or bone marrow, "La Fondation Diane Hébert" provides the help and comfort they need to survive.
To help such people, "La Fondation Diane Hébert" depends
entirely on charitable donations from the public at large, for it receives
no government subsidy of any kind. As a non-profit charitable organization,
it relies on the generosity of people like you who support the Foundation
by their financial contributions.
